How to read the chart

Find your total on rows and the dealer upcard on columns. The intersection tells you whether to hit, stand, double, or split.

When the dealer hits soft 17 (H17), some aggressive plays become less profitable. In S17, some double hands gain expected value.

EV changes between single-deck tables and multi-deck shoes. Adapting the chart for 1, 2, 6, or 8 decks improves accuracy.

Do I need to memorize the entire chart?

You can start with key patterns and reinforce with practice. Consistency usually matters more than memorizing everything in one day.

Can I use a chart on mobile during online play?
